Unfortunately one of our Loon families received a tragic blow, while sitting on the eggs it was attacked and killed.
We suspect with the skeleton being totally in-tacted, location of remains & proximity of the nest and feathers, that the predator was some type of raptor. Possibly a Bald or Golden Eagle.
There is only hope for the mate to find another and try again.
